- Activities in 2008:
Butsfield have once again had a busy year, including meetings such as a visit to the Pantomime at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle, Ice Skating at Billingham, Indoor Climbing wall at Meadowfield, Golf Driving Range, various Inter-clubs ranging from Strawberry Picking to Car Treasure Hunts, many summer night Games Nights, and also a Bike Ride up the Waskerley Way.The clubs high number of Junior members has continued although didn’t bring us success at rally day. Hopefully better luck next year! The club has represented Durham County and Northern Area in various competitions including Efficiency with Safety; where the team were 2nd in the National competition at the Royal Show, Crop Judging, Promotional DVD and also individual members representing Durham County in the Tug of War competition’s.The club has had a very quiet year on the fundraising front, only holding one event; our Annual Christmas Meal at The Old Mill, Knitsley, where we always have a good night.Hopefully our high number of members will continue into 2009
