- Activities in 2008: Barnard Castle has had a good year once again with a lot of new members joining us and large numbers of younger members starting young farmers. We've enjoyed a wide variety of different meetings and visits including our annual bonfire, carol singing and Easter egg hunt.The trip to the AGM in Blackpool went down well for our older members and we hope to get equally as good attendance to it this year as well. Although we decided against organising another ball we held various other small fundraising events in order to raise some money for the club all of which went down well. We hope to have another good year next year and continue gaining members
