What is County Durham YFC?

County Durham Federation of Young Farmers has 8 clubs in the County . Each Club runs it's own programme of events for the year, this programme is decided by you, the members. This means that clubs only do those things that they feel are fun and important.

In addition to this there are County sports and competitions throughout the year, the winners of which can go on to a Northern Area decider and finally to the National Finals, run by the National Federation of Young Farmers'. You can do as much or as little as you like. In June 2011 County Durham hosted the Northern Area Field Day, it was a great success with a huge crowd and a great day of fun, despite the rain.

Young Farmers Clubs (YFC) gives you a great opportunity to socialise and make many new friends. There are loads of YFC social events every year ranging from local club YFC discos to the infamous County Christmas Ball. Being a YFC member means you will have an instant network of friends all around your County, your Country - or even around the world if you apply for an international exchange. You don't need a wax jacket and wellies, we are here for anyone aged 10yrs - 26yrs
More details about what YFC nationally has to offer can be found on the National Federation of Young Farmers' website at www.nfyfc.org.uk.
